CAF stands with communities impacted by conflict and violence, offering hope, healing, and support.

Civitas Auxillium Foundation CAF was co-founded in 2021. We believe that vulnerability caused by violent conflicts and terrorism should not hinder people, especially women, from living out their potential and achieving their life goals.

Our project’s specific objectives are to:

  • Increase the financial abilities of women and enhance their capabilities to provide for their families; educate their children; access better health, clothing, and shelter for their children; reduce poverty; and attain improved standards of living.
  • Advance gender equality, equity, and the empowerment of women, and ensuring elimination of all kinds of violence against women and children through full participation in social and economic spectra at all levels and bringing women into the mainstream of development.

CAF PROGRAM AREAS

1. CAFSAP – Skills Acquisition Program
Empowering women and girls through vocational training in tailoring, soap-making, catering, and other practical skills. This program helps participants generate income and rebuild their lives with dignity.


2. Education and Literacy Empowerment

We provide access to quality education for displaced children and offer adult literacy classes for women and youth who missed formal schooling. By equipping both children and adults with essential knowledge and skills, we empower families to build brighter futures together.

 

3. Psychosocial and Social Support
Offering trauma-informed care, counseling, and group support to survivors of violence, particularly women and girls. CAF creates safe spaces for healing, peer support, and personal growth.


4. FORB – Freedom of Religion or Belief
Promoting religious freedom, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. CAF runs awareness campaigns, interfaith dialogues, and community sensitization programs to protect the rights of marginalized religious groups, especially women affected by religious discrimination.


5. Advocacy & Community Engagement
Engaging communities through grassroots campaigns on gender equality, child protection, and women’s rights. CAF collaborates with traditional and religious leaders to foster long-term social change.

Our purpose

CAF is registered in Nigeria as a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit organization working to address issues of poverty and gender inequality affecting women. CAF programs are uniquely designed to reach families through women who are victims of violent conflicts and terrorism in Nigeria. 

CAF is committed to ensuring that victims of violent conflicts are empowered through its WEP, the beneficiaries’ competencies and capacities will be built through social and economic empowerment, thereby equipping them with the necessary skills and experience to improve their livelihood, start and manage their businesses, following provision of funds, either as cash flow lending or asset financing.
